Chicago Police have released a surveillance photo of a man suspected in a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded last weekend in the Old Town neighborhood.

The attack happened about 4 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 100 block of West Division, where someone shot the pair as they walked out of a fast food restaurant, police said. The shooter took off in a Chevrolet Tahoe south on Clark Street.

Both men were shot in the back and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where 20-year-old Marquese Fleming was pronounced dead at 4:55 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 100 block of North Larrabee. The other man, 30, was listed in serious condition.

Police released a photo of the suspect Saturday of a 6-foot, 180-pound black man wearing a black T-shirt with the combined logos of the Chicago Bulls, White Sox, Blackhawks and Bears.

The block where the shooting occurred was the target of a recent undercover drug investigation, according to a statement from Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd). The undercover operation resulted in 16 arrests for drug and robbery offenses.

Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
