Police in northwest suburban Schaumburg are searching for a man who broke into a store in June and tried to break into a townhouse in July.

The business burglary happened about 5:50 a.m. June 5 in the 800 block of Morse Avenue, and the failed townhouse break-in happened about 5:15 a.m. July 17 in the 1100 block of Regency Court, according to an alert from Schaumburg police.

The “suspicious person” is described as a shirtless black man with camouflage shorts and dark shoes or boots, police said.

Police released surveillance photos Wednesday from similar incidents reported in neighboring Elk Grove Village. Anyone with information or more surveillance footage should call police at (847) 882-3586.
