Police are warning residents after someone set fires in garbage cans in six North Side alleys early Monday morning.

The fires were ignited in garbage cans in alleys during a one-hour period in the Lincoln Park and Lake View neighborhoods at:

-4:28 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Cambridge;

-5:04 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Oakdale;

-5:09 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Seminary;

-5:16 a.m. in the 700 block of West Oakdale;

-5:24 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Wolfram;

-and at 5:28 a.m. in the 2700 block of North Racine.

Some of the fires spread to the garages, police said.
