Police are warning business on the Near West Side about two armed robberies this month.

In each robbery, two men men went into a business with handguns, demanded money from the register and ran away, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The first robbery happened about 2:30 p.m. July 14 in the 1100 block of North Western, and the second robbery happened about 7:20 a.m. July 21 in the 1100 block of West Van Buren, police said.

The robbers were described as black men, 30-40, 170-200 pounds, and standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8. One man had dreadlocks and another had a fade haircut, police said.
