Police are warning Northwest Side residents of four recent home burglaries in the Dunning neighborhood.

The burglar kicks or pries open front doors or windows, then steals jewelry, cash and copper pipes, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.

The burglaries happened:

  • about 3 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 3400 block of North Narragansett;
  • between 7:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 3400 block of North Natoma;
  • between 9 a.m. Sept. 13 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 in the 7000 block of West Irving Park; and
  • between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 3900 block of North Nora.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call detectives at (312) 744-8263.
