Police are warning about a string of four garage burglaries last week on the Northwest Side.

In each burglary, someone broke into a garage and took tools, tool boxes, money and other property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The burglaries happened:

  • between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. May 28 in the 4000 block of West Patterson;
  • between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. May 27 in the 3300 block of North Troy;
  • between 3 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. May 24 in the 3700 block of North Harding; and
  • at 6:15 a.m. May 22 in the 2700 block of West Montrose.

In at least one case, the burglar is described as a white Hispanic man with short black hair, 20-30 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet.
