Police are warning residents of several robberies this month in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

The victims were approached by a man who demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened:

  • about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the 4800 block of South Seeley;
  • about 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 1900 block of West 47th Street;
  • about 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 4700 block of South Honore; and
  • about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 17 in the 4800 block of South Seeley

The suspect is described as a 26-year-old man, between 5-foot-4 and 6-foot and weighs between 150 and 175 pounds, police said.
