Chicago Police released a community alert Tuesday after three robberies were reported in May in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood.

In each robbery, a man approached a person on the street and either showed or implied he had a handgun and demanded personal property, police said.

The most recent robbery occurred about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of North Lincoln Park West, police said. Robberies were also reported at midnight May 23 in the 2200 block of North Bissell and at 10 p.m. May 21 in the 800 block of West Belden.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
