Police warn of robberies in West Garfield Park

Chicago Police are warning West Garfield Park neighborhood residents of robberies.

Three males walked up to victims on the street and punched them or pulled out a handgun before taking their money and cellphones, according to a community alert from police.

The robberies happened:

• at 5 p.m. April 25 in the 300 block of South Pulaski Road;
• at 2 p.m. April 26 in the 3900 block of West Flournoy Street;
• and at 6:50 p.m. May 7 in the 4000 block of West Fifth Avenue.

The first suspect is described as a 16 to 18-year-old black male, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 150 pounds, police said. The second suspect is described as a 16 to 19-year-old black male, standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, and the third suspect is described as a 18 to 25-year-old black male, standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 pounds.
