Police issued a community alert Sunday following a series of armed robberies in the West Town and Noble Square neighborhoods on the West Side in less than a week.

The most recent robbery was reported at 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of West Huron. The victim was approached by two men who displayed a handgun and robbed them of their phone and cash, according to Chicago Police.

Robberies were also reported at 2 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of West Huron and at 3:30 a.m. May 21 in 2700 block of West Chicago. A robbery was also reported at 4 a.m. May 21 in the 1500 block of West Haddon in Noble Square, police said.

In all the cases, the offenders were described as black men in the early 20s: One about 5-foot-8 and weighing 160 pounds and the other about 5-foot-11 and weighing 200 pounds, police said.
