A woman was found dead in a vehicle early Monday in the Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side.

She was found unresponsive about 4:25 a.m. in a vehicle in the 600 block of West 41st Street, according to Chicago Police.

The 35-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Tuesday did not rule on her cause and manner of death pending further investigation.

The woman, thought to be in her 30s, was dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not immediately provide information on the fatality.

Area Central detectives were conducting a death investigation.
