Chicago rapper Capo, a member of Chief Keef’s “Glo Gang,” was killed in a South Shore neighborhood shooting that resulted in a 1-year-old boy being fatally struck by a vehicle fleeing the gang-related attack Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old rapper, whose real name was Marvin Carr, was shot in the hip and back in a possible drive-by about 1:45 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Kingston, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Carr, of the 7300 block of South East End, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died at 4:37 p.m., authorities said.

Soon after the shooting, a vehicle hit 1-year-old Dillan Harris in a stroller as he and his mother waited for a bus at 63rd and Ellis, according to family and authorities. The boy died at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.
Two people were being questioned Sunday about the incidents, police said.
Ald. Willie Cochran (20th) said Sunday a person who saw the shooting followed the car that eventually crashed into the stroller.
“He followed the car and called 911 and lead police to it,” Cochran said. The alderman said the person was “connected to law enforcement” but wouldn’t elaborate.
The crash happened in Cochran’s ward.
“One of the disturbing things that has come to light is how people on the scene of the accident were saying that the police had no business chasing these guys and are blaming the police,” said Cochran, a former police officer. “But who do you chase if you don’t chase a murderer? . . . Rather than saying the gunman had no business going to shoot and kill somebody, they were saying the police had no business chasing them.”
Cochran said a vigil was being planned for Monday at the site of the crash to remember and pray for the infant.
Chicago Police would not comment about Cochran’s description of what happened, saying it is an ongoing investigation.
Renaldo Hess, Carr’s manager, said the rapper had recently returned from a recording session in Los Angeles.
“He was a good kid. The streets of Chicago is something,” Hess said. “He was murdered. I don’t understand what is going on with all these kids.”
Mario Hess, Chief Keef’s cousin and a member of his rap group who was known as “Big Glo,” was gunned down in West Englewood in April 2014.
