Several garage burglaries have been reported in the last three weeks in the Dunning neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

At least one suspect kicks or pries open the overhead or side door and windows and steals construction tools, bicycles, lawn equipment, air compressors and radio speakers, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.

The burglaries happened:

  • at 9 a.m. on July 7 in the 3700 block of North Nordica;
  • between July 11 and 18 in the 7000 block of West Henderson;
  • between 6:30 pm. July 15 and 7:45 a.m. July 16 in the 7000 block of West Henderson;
  • between 9 p.m. July 17 and 2 a.m. July 18 in the 3400 block of North Nottingham;
  • between 8:30 p.m. July 17 and 5:15 a.m. July 18 in the 3400 block of North Nottingham; and
  • between 10 p.m. July 20 and 9:30 a.m. July 21 in the 7000 block of West Henderson.
