A 17-year-old boy was shot in the back Sunday afternoon in the Dearborn Homes neighborhood on the South Side.

The drive-by attack happened about 4:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Dearborn, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, police said.

A description of the vehicle in the shooting wasn’t available.
