A teenage boy was shot late Wednesday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 17-year-old was walking in an alley at 11:05 p.m. in the 700 block of West 59th when a male inside a dark-colored car fired shots at him, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and his condition was stabilized, police said.
