Three men were shot Monday morning in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Two 18-year-olds were standing in the mouth of an alley in the 6900 block of South Western at 9:13 a.m. when a newer white car pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police. The car took off after the shooting.

One of the 18-year-old men was shot in the back, and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

The other 18-year-old was shot in the left hip and right calf, and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police said he is a documented gang member.

A 53-year-old man, who was not with the two younger men, was also struck in the back by the gunfire and taken to Christ, where his condition stabilized, police said.
