Three people were wounded in a shooting early Monday in north suburban Evanston.

Officers on patrol shortly before 1 a.m. heard multiple shots in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, according to a statement from Evanston police.

They found two people with gunshot wounds in a home on the west side of that block, police said. The bullets came from between houses on the east side of the street and the victims were standing in front of the house at the time of the shooting.

A 17-year-old boy from Skokie was shot in the right thigh, while a 19-year-old man from Evanston suffered a gunshot wound to the left bicep. Both men were taken to Evanston Hospital.

Another 17-year-old boy, who was also from Evanston, later walked into Evanston Hospital with a wound from bullet fragment to his left hamstring area, police said.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, police said.
