Two men were shot Monday night in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The men, ages 28 and 32, were standing in a gangway at 9:08 p.m. in the 5600 block of South Wabash when someone fired shots, striking them, according to Chicago Police.

They were both taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. The younger man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was listed in critical condition, while the older man was shot twice in the arm and listed in fair condition.
