Two people were shot early Sunday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

A man and a woman, both 25, were driving southbound in the 10700 block of South King about 4:30 a.m. when a white Pontiac Grand Prix pulled up beside them and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the abdomen and leg and the woman suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg, police said. The woman drove them to Roseland Community Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

The man was listed in critical condition and was later transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

A police source said he is a documented gang member.
