A woman was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood, leaving another woman hurt by broken glass.

About 2:45 p.m., the 25- and 32-year-old women were in a vehicle at 67th Street and Racine when someone in a Ford Taurus fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The younger woman was shot in the back of the head. Police initially thought the older had been shot as well, but doctors determined she had been cut across the bridge of the nose by shattered glass.

Both were taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital.
