A vehicle crashed into the waiting room of an animal hospital in northwest suburban Palatine Friday morning.

The vehicle crashed into Hilltop Animal Hospital, 597 W. Lake Cook Rd. in Palatine, at 10:35 a.m., according to a statement from the Palatine Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 10:40 a.m. with reports of an accident with possible entrapment, but found that the two occupants of the vehicle were outside of the vehicle, fire officials said.

One of the occupants was taken to Northwest Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said. No animals or people inside the building were injured.
