A woman was shot Sunday afternoon in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 25-year-old was shot in the lower body about 3:54 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 71st Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

She took herself to Holy Cross Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
