A 30-year-old woman was shot Tuesday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

She was walking on the sidewalk about 9:05 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Adams when she heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the right hip and took herself to Loretto Hospital in good condition, police said.
