A woman who was found stabbed to death in her home Thursday morning in west suburban Berwyn has been identified.

Crystal Kay Hendrickson, 33, was found about 10:30 a.m. in her basement apartment in the 2100 block of South Scoville, according to Div. Cmdr. Giordano Manfredini of the Berwyn Police Department, and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

She suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:04 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office. Her death was ruled a homicide.

“Our investigation is active and ongoing, but based on the information obtained thus far, there is no apparent threat to the greater public at this time,” Manfredini said in a statement.
