A woman gave birth in a car early Tuesday on the Edens Spur in north suburban Northbrook.

She delivered the baby about 1:15 a.m. inside a car at the Edens Spur Toll Plaza in Northbrook, according to Illinois State Police.

Police said the mother and the baby were both “doing well,” but further details were not available.
