Woman shot on West Side

A woman was shot early Tuesday on the West Side.

The 25-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle at 12:36 a.m. in the 300 block of South Maplewood when a male fired shots from an alley, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
