A woman was shot early Sunday in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 27-year-old was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 3600 block of West Cermak about 12:40 a.m. when a male walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of her abdomen and later showed up at Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
