It’s Trump time for Alec Baldwin on ‘SNL’

He had the voice.

He had the hair.

He had the sniffles.

Alec Baldwin was winning early raves on social media for his performance as Donald Trump on the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live.”

SNL parodied the first presidential debate with Baldwin facing off against Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton, who also earned kudos for her performance.

Baldwin as Trump even managed to work a reference to Chicago into the mix.

SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels, said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that Tina Fey suggested Baldwin play Trump.

“We were talking about who should do it. And she said, “Well, the person that should really play it is Alec.” And I went, “Yeah!” A light went on,” Michaels said in the interview.

Baldwin has hosted more “SNLs” than anyone at 16 times.

There was no immediate reaction from the real Donald Trump on his Twitter account.
