John Fox is going back to New York. Or, technically, New Jersey.

“From ownership on down, there’s a lot of people I’m pretty close to in that organization,” Fox, the Giants’ defensive coordinator from 1997-2001, said Friday at Halas Hall. ”But it’s still a game you’re trying to win.

“And, you know, it’s only fun when you win.”

While we wonder how miserable the Bears must be, then, here are 10 more questions as they prepare to play the Giants:

1. It’s good to be No. 1, right?

Eli Manning is the third-straight former top draft pick to play quarterback against the Bears, joining Sam Bradford and Jameis Winston.

The Bears have faced five former No. 1s this season: those three plus the Lions’ Matthew Stafford and the Colts’ Andrew Luck.

Next week, the Titans’ Marcus Mariota will be the second No. 2 pick to play quarterback against the Bears, joining the Eagles’ Carson Wentz. The Bears faced one former No. 3, the Jaguars’ Blake Bortles.

Add them up, and eight of the 13 different starting quarterbacks the Bears face this season will have been top-three picks.

2. So …?

The Bears have a 26.4 percent chance to draft in the top three, according to Football Outsiders. Only four teams have better odds: the Browns, 49ers, Jets and Jaguars.

3. So where was Josh Woodrum drafted?

He wasn’t. Woodrum worked out for six different teams in recent months — oftentimes, he said, so they’d have someone to throw to their wide receivers during tryouts.

“The Bears showed a lot of interest in me pre-draft, and I thought I had a pretty good chance of coming up here,” the 6-2, 236-pound rookie said.

Woodrum, who set a school record with 10,266 career passing yards as a four-year starter at Liberty, worked out at Halas Hall Nov. 7 and was added to the Bears’ practice squad eight days later. He spent time with the Giants and Colts earlier this season.

He said the Bears appreciated that he started all four years in college, got better during that time and have mechanics they can help mold.

4. Are the Bears better off without the suspended Alshon Jeffery?

“When you have Jeffery, as a quarterback, you tend to throw to him,” defensive coordinator Steve Spagunolo told Giants reporters.” When you don’t have him, you tend to spread the ball. The statement that was made was that Jay Cutler is really good when he spreads the ball. I think we have to be careful.”

Who made the statement? The coach said people in the building who used to be in Chicago. So, kicker Robbie Gould, or assistant special teams coach Dwayne Stukes?

5. Wanna bet?

The Bears haven’t won — or covered the spread — in any of their five road games this season.

6. Did Ryan Pace send a fruit basket?

Ernie Accorsi, the Giants’ GM from 1998-2006, was inducted into the team’s ring of honor Monday night.

Accorsi served as an advisor to George McCaskey and Ted Phillips when the two hired Pace as the Bears’ GM in January 2015. In a halftime speech, Accorsi said he wanted to thank “the good Lord for making me a New York Giant.”

7. Dress whites?

The Bears will wear white jerseys Sunday for only the second time this year. They lost in them to the Colts, 29-23.

8. So how bad are things, again?

The Bears have been outscored by 74 points, the third-worst margin in the NFL, behind the Browns (126) and 49ers (96). How’s this for depressing? The Bears haven’t had a positive scoring differential in a single season since 2012, when they led the NFC North at plus-98 — and Lovie Smith got fired.

Since then, they’ve been outscored by 292 points over 56 games.

9. Who’s yapping?

Tracy Porter doesn’t get caught up in trash talk — and says he won’t Sunday against Odell Beckham, Jr. — but he knows who does.

Former Falcon Roddy White was the worst he’s seen; Porter was a rival when he played for the Saints from 2008-11.

“As far as me, he didn’t go too much into the background,” he said. “He just chirped whenever he’d catch a ball and tried to do his little trash talk. The rivalry of that game itself was already up to that level.”

10. Romo time?

Bovada is taking bets on which team Dallas quarterback Tony Romo will play for next season. The Bears lead all teams not named the Cowboys, with 5/2 odds.
