How to enter the NFL Draft ticket lottery

Fans looking to attend the NFL Draft next month downtown can enter a drawing through March 25, the league announced Wednesday.

From now until 11:59 p.m. on March 25, fans can enter to win two free tickets to the Auditorium Theatre and Selection Square at NFL.com/FanMobilePass.

Fans over 18 who win the random drawing will receive an email around April 5, and must RSVP within two days to qualify. They’ll then receive instructions on how to pick up their tickets downtown.

The draft — in its second year of a two-year agreement — runs April 28-30.

Like last year, the draft setup will be split into three parts: the Auditorium Theatre will host selections on April 28 and 29. Selection Square, located outside, will be open April 28-30, feature team officials and host some selections on the final day.

Draft Town, the free, no ticket-needed fan festival at Grant Park, is open all three days, the first two from noon-10 p.m. and the final from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

A limited number of tickets are available for the Auditorium Theatre and Selection Square.

The odds of winning were slim last year — more than 79,000 fans from all 50 states applied to watch the draft either from the theater or Selection Square. The NFL gave out 2,800 theater tickets and 1,000 square tickets for the first two days last year, and 1,000 square tickets on the third.

The number for 2016 tickets wasn’t immediately available Wednesday.
