Northwestern basketball coach Chris Collins and football coach Pat Fitzgerald reportedly agreed to contract extensions.

Collins led the Wildcats to their first appearance in the NCAA tournament. They beat Vanderbilt in the first round before falling to Gonzaga in the second. Collins is 73-60 in four seasons.
