Vince Strickland showed that blue catfish are coming along just fine at Braidwood Lake.

The young man from Country Club Hills caught this blue, so massive it bottomed out a 25-pound scale, on March 12 while they fished with cutbait.

“We caught several around 10 pounds,’’ he emailed. “Then I got this one about 9 a.m. We took pics and attempted to weight it. [We were] able to release it unharmed.’’

FOTW, the celebration of big fish and good stories, runs Wednesdays on the Sun-Times outdoors page.
