Saw a tweet the other day from the Big Ten Network asking if Iowa’s Fran McCaffery was the top coach in the conference this season. No harm, no foul; we all send goofy tweets sometimes. Though this one got a reaction from me because, let’s face it, Fran the Man might not be in the top 10 among Big Ten coaches this season. More to the point, it’s blatantly obvious only two coaches — Wisconsin’s Bo Ryan and Maryland’s Mark Turgeon — could even be considered for the distinction. Read more
