Two Chicago Police officers were injured Friday evening when their squad car crashed in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 9:10 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Washington, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Both officers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Alfaro said. Additional details on the crash were not immediately available.
