A man was shot Sunday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 20-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 3600 block of West Lexington at 10:44 a.m. when someone approached and fired shots at him, police said.

The man was shot in the right thigh and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
