A teenage boy was shot Sunday morning in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 16-year-old was riding in a van in the 10600 block of South LaSalle at 10:25 a.m. when he heard gunshots and realized he’d been hit, police said.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, then transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.
