Bridge project to cause overnight closures of O’Hare ‘people mover’ trains

SHARE Bridge project to cause overnight closures of O’Hare ‘people mover’ trains

O’Hare Airport’s “people mover” trains will not run overnights starting Monday night, until early November.

The closure will allow for a bridge modification as part of the Balmoral Drive extension into O’Hare, the city’s Department of Aviation said in a statement.

The Airport Transit System be fully closed every night between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m., through the morning hours of Nov. 2, the department said. During those times, bus shuttles will take passengers between the airport’s economy parking lots and the airport terminals.

Passengers and employees using economy parking lots should allow extra travel time, the department said.
