(BUFFALO GROVE) A Wheeling man died Sunday morning, three days after the vehicle he was driving rolled over in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove.

Hitesh Joshi, 60, was injured in the single-vehicle, rollover crash about 7 a.m. Thursday near Deerfield Parkway and Brandywyn Lane in Buffalo Grove, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Joshi, of the 800 block of Colonial Drive in Wheeling, was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where he died at 10:48 a.m. Sunday, the medical examiner’s office said.

He was only person in the vehicle and no one else was injured in the crash, Buffalo Grove Police Cmdr. Roy Bethge said.

An autopsy Monday found Joshi died of hemothorax, or chest trauma, he suffered in the crash and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. Multiple rib fractures were listed as a secondary cause of death.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Bethge said.
