Kids sometimes lie about their age to get on Facebook before they turn 13, the social media network’s minimum age. But Anna Stoehr lied because she was 113, and Facebook’s sign-up page doesn’t list a birth year earlier than 1905.
So the Plainview, Minnesota, woman lied — and said she was only 99, KARE-TV in Minneapolis reported.
Someone helped her write a letter — on a typewriter — to Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg to point out the problem.
“I’m still here,” wrote Stoehr, who turned 114 on Wednesday.
