Missing West Side teen found

A teenage boy who went missing from his West Side home Monday evening has been found.

Dwayne Perkins, 15, left his home in the 700 block of South Independence about 7:15 p.m. and did not return, according to a missing person alert issued by Area North detectives.

He was later located with his mother in Elkhart, Ind., police said in a subsequent statement Saturday morning.
