A man shot to death in South Shore early Thursday has been identified.

Raymond Murray, 25, was found about 3:20 a.m. lying in the street in the 7800 block of South Jeffery with a gunshot wound to his chest, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 4 a.m.

Murray lived a block north of where he was found, the medical examiner’s office said.
