SHARE Police warn of Elmhurst home break-ins

(ELMHURST) Four homes in west suburban Elmhurst have been targeted by burglars over the last few weeks.

The burglars strike between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to Elmhurst police. As a result, extra patrols have been assigned in the area, including undercover officers.

The burglaries occurred:

—in the 300 block of May on Sept. 25;

—in the 400 block of Hill on Sept. 21;

—in the 900 block of Chatham on Sept. 16; and

—in the 200 block of Chandler on Sept. 5.

Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for unknown people or vehicles in the neighborhood and to report anything suspicious to 911.
