Tuesday may be gloomy, but sunnier skies and warmer weather are heading our way this weekend, forecasters say.
Saturday and Sunday will be mostly clear and we could see highs near 70, which is a several degrees warmer than the average temperature for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.
Late October usually brings highs around 58 degrees, according to weather records. But the Weather Service is calling for a high of 67 on Saturday, then 69 on Sunday and Monday.
To get there, the Chicago will have to endure some sprinkles or light showers the rest of Tuesday, which will be cloudy with lows in the 40s.
Wednesday though Friday will be sunny with temperatures climbing from the mid-50s to the low 60s, the weather service said. Lows will be around 50 every night.
