An extra-alarm fire that damaged a West Side factory Wednesday afternoon is under control.

Flames engulfed the one-story factory in the 4600 block of West Huron, Fire Media Affairs said. As of about 2:15 p.m. flames were shooting through the roof and the building’s walls were failing.

The fire was brought under control about half an hour later, fire officials said. No injuries have been reported.
