So much fuss has been made about Renee Zellweger’s new “look” over the past couple ofdays —much of it not very nice.

The actress responds to all the criticism this morning in an exclusive interview with People.com.

The 45-year-old star says in part: “I’m glad folks think I’m different. I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows. … People don’t know me [as] healthy for a while. Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy.”
