Two northwest suburban men were charged with possession of child pornography in two separate incidents on Wednesday and Thursday.

Christopher Fitzgerald, 47, of Rockford, was charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography Thursday after police executed a search warrant at his home, according to a statement from Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s office.

One day earlier, Jesse Hansen, 33, was charged with two counts each of dissemination and possession of child after police executed a search warrant at his Elgin home, the statement said.

The arrests are the 70th and 71st for Operation Glass House, a program launched in 2010 to investigate the trading of child pornography online.
