Three teenagers were shot in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood on Thursday evening, about two blocks away from the location of a shooting hours earlier that left another teen wounded.

The latest shooting happened at 6:42 p.m. when someone in a white van fired at the teens as they stood outside in the 800 block of North St. Louis, police said.

A 16-year-old boy shot in the thigh was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, and a 14-year-old girl shot in the leg also went to Mount Sinai, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

The family of a 15-year-old girl who suffered a graze wound to her right thigh took her to University of Chicago Medical Center. She was listed in good condition, police said.

At 8:35 a.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in the right shoulder about two blocks away in the 3300 block of West Chicago, police said. His condition was stabilized at Mount Sinai.

Police said the shootings weren’t thought to be related.
