A male was shot Friday night while driving on the Dan Ryan Expressway, according to police.

Illinois State Police were called to a crime scene at 75th and Eggleston late Friday, but police at the scene said the shooting originally happened on the Dan Ryan.

The male, whose age was not immediately known, was shot at 10:35 p.m. while driving in the southbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 71st Street, state police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

A car could be seen parked near 75th and Eggleston late Friday with at least three bullet holes on the driver’s side, as well as two broken windows and a flat tire. A CTA bus was also parked within police tape nearby, but it was not immediately known whether the bus was involved in the shooting.
