(WOODSTOCK) A Chicago man was arrested Thursday in northwest suburban Island Lake following an undercover drug investigation, authorities said.

Marshall T. Dean, 33, is charged with four counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, and one count of obstruction of justice, all felonies, the McHenry County sheriff’s office said. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for driving on a revoked license.

During a one-month investigation, undercover detectives purchased three grams of suspected heroin and three grams of suspected cocaine, worth a total of about $600, the sheriff’s office said.

Dean, a Chicago resident, was arrested Thursday near Route 176 and River Road in Island Lake, the sheriff’s office said. He was ordered held on a $500,000 bond and will next appear in court Tuesday.
