A man who was found stabbed to death in a Pullman neighborhood home on the Far South Side Wednesday evening has been identified.

About 5 p.m., police were called to a home in the 600 block of East 111th Street to conduct a well-being check, police said.

When they arrived, they found Thomas Sanchez, 53, dead with a stab wound to the neck, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. Authorities believe Sanchez, of the 11200 block of South St. Lawrence, was stabbed some time Tuesday.

An autopsy conducted Wednesday confirmed Sanchez was fatally stabbed, and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said.
